The Ontario Tech Pilot forms part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The Tech Pilot was introduced to close the labour gap and attract skilled workers from abroad This opportunity one is one of the many opportunities under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. This program is for those tech-savvy beings that would love to live their dream in Canada. The main goal of this program is to identify candidates in the Express Entry pool who have a technological skillset.
The draw to choose candidates that qualify for the Ontario Tech Pilot assists the Ontario government in searching the Express Entry pool for viable candidates. If the candidate meets the criteria of the Human Capital Priorities Stream or has work experience in one of the targeted National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes, they will receive Notification of Interest (NOI) on their Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) online account.

The application costs for the human and capital streams will be between $1,500 and $2,000. The processing times may differ depending on the number of applicants that enter at a time. The business stream is about $3,500 per key staff applicant or business partner.

600 points are awarded for an enhanced Nominee certificate from a province in Canada through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

A Canadian job offer will also earn you points; the number of points is based on the NOC level of the particular job.

When you apply for the Express Entry, and want to immigrate with your common law partner, you must choose who will be the principal applicant.
Note: a common law partner is a person who has been married to you for one year. This applies for same sex and opposite sex partners.

If you want to ensure that your Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is an authorized consultant, you can check with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC).
The ICCRC’s website has a register of all the persons that are qualified to be Canadian Immigration Consultants. Any individual who claims to be a legal consultant will have a RCIC code. If there are no results for a person’s RCIC code, then they are not a legal Canadian Immigration Consultant.
